Tanger Tech Solar Energy Solutions

Built for Tomorrow

Solar Energy for a Technology-Driven Industrial Ecosystem

Tanger Tech occupies Ain Dalia and Laaouama, about 15 kilometres south of Tangier alongside the A4 motorway. The established Industrial Acceleration Zone covers 467 hectares, created in 2019 as a genuinely multisectoral platform spanning electronics, renewable energy equipment, automotive, aeronautics, chemistry and mechanical industries. It sits within a much larger vision, the roughly 2,167 hectare Mohammed VI Tanger Tech City project, which pairs an industrial component with a planned smart city of housing and services, developed through Moroccan and international partners including Chinese investment. Tanger Tech is a distinct development from Tanger Free Zone, Tanger Automotive City and Gueznaia, though all sit within the wider Tanger Med industrial and logistics ecosystem. Green Taqa assesses each Tanger Tech facility on its own electricity profile, since an electronics assembly line and a renewable energy component plant can draw power very differently.

What We Offer

Solar Planning by Technology Facility

Electronics Manufacturing

Assembly and testing lines often run precision equipment on a steady daytime schedule, a pattern worth assessing for solar.

Renewable Energy Equipment Production

Facilities manufacturing solar, battery or related components have their own production-driven electricity profile, distinct from a facility using solar to power itself.

Advanced & Automated Manufacturing

Robotics and automated production lines typically combine consistent equipment loads with extended operating hours.

Technical & Engineering Facilities

R&D and engineering sites often centre their consumption on climate-controlled labs, testing equipment and IT infrastructure.

Technical & Administrative Offices

Administrative buildings within the zone have a lighter, more office-typical load, generally HVAC, lighting and equipment.

Technology-Focused Warehousing

Storage and distribution buildings supporting tech manufacturers often offer large roof areas, subject to structural confirmation.

Our Project Approach

How Green Taqa Evaluates a Tanger Tech Facility

Facility & Energy Review

We start with your electricity bills, operating schedule and the equipment driving your facility's consumption.

Technical Site Assessment

Our engineers inspect roof condition, structural capacity and electrical infrastructure on site.

Design & Electrical Configuration

The system is designed and sized to integrate cleanly with your facility's existing electrical setup.

Deployment & Monitoring Setup

Once approved, we install, commission and configure monitoring for ongoing performance visibility.

One Project, Two Scales

The established 467 hectare Tanger Tech Industrial Acceleration Zone is only the operating core of a much larger vision, the roughly 2,167 hectare Mohammed VI Tanger Tech City, which combines industrial development with a planned smart city. Both phases point toward the same idea: energy infrastructure, including solar, considered as part of the facility’s design rather than added afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions From Businesses at Tanger Tech

It can be, depending on the facility. Electronics and precision manufacturing often run steady daytime loads, a pattern generally favourable for solar, though this is confirmed through a proper site assessment.

Yes, and this is a distinct question from manufacturing solar components. We assess the facility's own electricity consumption to power itself, separately from whatever products it produces.

Yes, including facilities still in development. Involving solar planning early allows roof design, electrical infrastructure and equipment layout to be coordinated together.

We compare your solar generation profile against your actual daytime demand and operating schedule, rather than assuming a fixed percentage of self-consumption.

Send us your recent electricity invoices and basic site details, and we will return a consumption analysis with an initial estimate for your location at Tanger Tech.
