Jorf Lasfar Industrial Park

Built for Heavy Industry

Solar Planning for a Complex Industrial Environment

Jorf Lasfar Industrial Park spans 500 hectares in Moulay Abdellah, 17 kilometres south of El Jadida and five minutes from Jorf Lasfar Port, Africa’s largest mineral port. Developed by MedZ from 2010, it is Morocco’s first park purpose built for first category heavy industry: chemical and parachemical processing, metallurgy and energy, alongside a large lot industrial zone, an SME SMI zone, a high tech zone, a logistics zone and a tertiary zone for business and support services. A chemical processing plant, a metal fabrication workshop and a logistics warehouse inside the same park can have entirely different electricity demands, from continuous process loads to daytime only operations. Green Taqa assesses each Jorf Lasfar facility on its own consumption and infrastructure rather than treating the park as a single industrial profile.

What We Offer

Solar Across Jorf Lasfar's Industrial Park Zones

Large Industrial Lots

Heavy industry plots with substantial production floors and continuous or extended operating schedules, where solar potential depends heavily on the specific process load.

SME-SMI Zone

Smaller manufacturers and workshops in this zone typically have more modest but still assessable roof and consumption profiles.

High-Tech Zone

Technology-oriented facilities often combine precision equipment with climate-controlled space, a distinct load pattern worth evaluating on its own terms.

Logistics Zone

Warehousing and distribution buildings in this zone tend to offer large, uninterrupted roof areas, subject to structural confirmation.

Tertiary & Business Zone

Offices and business support facilities have a lighter, more office-typical electricity profile centred on HVAC, lighting and equipment.

Industrial Support Facilities

Maintenance, engineering and technical service operations supporting the wider park have their own operational rhythm to account for.

Our Project Approach

How Green Taqa Evaluates an Industrial Site

Site & Consumption Review

We review electricity bills, operating schedule and major electrical loads specific to the facility.

Roof & Structural Assessment

Our engineers assess roof condition, orientation, shading and structural capacity on site.

System Sizing & Grid Integration

The system is sized and designed to integrate with the facility's existing electrical infrastructure.

Installation & Monitoring

Once approved, we install, commission and set up monitoring for ongoing visibility.

Connected by Port, Rail and Road

Jorf Lasfar sits five minutes from its own deep water mineral port, adjoins the railway line, and connects to the Casablanca-El Jadida and El Jadida-Safi motorway corridors, roughly ninety minutes from Casablanca. This combination matters most to logistics-heavy operations and heavy industry moving raw materials and finished goods, though the electricity case for solar still comes down to each facility’s own roof and consumption data.

Why Choose Green Taqa

What Businesses in Jorf Lasfar Can Expect

Understands Heavy Industry

Familiarity with the continuous and process-driven electricity demand typical of chemical and metallurgical operations.

Zone-Aware, Not Zone-Generic

Recognition that large-lot industry, SME workshops, logistics and tertiary facilities each need their own assessment.

A Single Point of Accountability

Feasibility, financing, construction and monitoring stay with a single accountable team.

Ready for New and Expanding Facilities

System design can be coordinated with new construction or capacity expansion from the planning stage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions From Businesses in Jorf Lasfar

It can be, depending on the facility's load profile. Continuous process operations differ significantly from daytime-only manufacturing, so system design starts with your actual consumption pattern.

Yes, from an energy generation and electrical integration standpoint. We assess your site's roof, electrical infrastructure and consumption, without providing chemical process engineering or certification.

Many have large, relatively uninterrupted roof areas, which can be favourable for solar. Structural capacity and consumption still need to be confirmed on site.

Yes. Involving solar planning during construction allows roof design, electrical infrastructure and equipment layout to be coordinated together.

Send us your recent electricity invoices and basic site details, and we will return a consumption analysis with an initial estimate for your location in Jorf Lasfar.
